Mid Sweden University is one of the ten largest institutions of higher education in Sweden (21 000 students, 1000 employees, 200 graduate students for the year 2010). Undergraduate courses and research are organised principally under the two faculties of the Human Sciences and Technology and the Natural Sciences. There is also a committee for inter-disciplinary research.

Sør-Trøndelag University College, HiST, offers higher level education and research and is the second largest University College in Norway.
We are presently educating about 7500 students in degree programmes within the fields of Business and Administration, Health and Social Work, Informatics, Interpreter for the Deaf, Teacher Education and Technology. In addition we provide a wide range of continuing professional education courses qualifying for entrance to a multitude of professions.

The University of Greenwich is a large modern university with over 28,000 students and 2,000 staff, offering approximately 1,000 different courses. It typically generates around £20 million in research, consultancy and other similar activities annually. In the national research assessment exercise in 2008, 66% of the university’s research was identified as being at a level of quality that is recognised internationally in terms of originality, significant and rigor, or above. The university has won many prizes and award for its research. This includes winning the Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Further and Higher Education three times in the last 10 years recognising world-class excellence and achievement.

CENFIM – Vocational Training Centre for the Metallurgy and Metalworking Industry is a non-profit organization at national level with 13 regional training Centres covering the whole country. CENFIM has training courses for Apprentices and Workers in technical and management areas for metallurgical and electromechanical Companies and on conventional and controlled numerical machines (CNC).

The Alexander Technological Educational Institute (ATEI) of Thessaloniki established in 1983 is an independent, self-governed organisation, supervised by the Greek Ministry of Education. Today, ATEI has 25 departments which are accommodated in 5 schools and a population of more than 20000 students. ATEI aims at providing education of a high quality standard on applied technologies. ATEI students acquire knowledge and skills on recent scientific and technological developments and, upon graduating, they are expected to play a key role on linking theory to practice and transfer technology from academia to real life implementations. To fulfill its mission, the ATEI participates in national and international research and development projects and maintains links with industry, business and other types of organizations.

Anne Fox is a young consultancy and training business. Started in 2010 by Anne Fox, it is a one-person business. Anne Fox offers tailor-made English coaching for employees and university students to TOEFL and IELTS level.

She is also a teacher trainer in the area of ICT integration, facilitating Trinity College validated courses for language teachers worldwide through the Barcelona-based Consultants-E using a social learning approach. As well as facilitating short courses in podcasting, webquests and e-networks, Anne Fox was a co-author of the 20 week Certificate in Teaching Languages with Technology which started in 2009 and has been running five times a year up to the present.

XLAB is a research-oriented Slovene SME company founded in 2001 with around 65 employees including 4 PhDs, 7 Master’s degrees and 9 post-graduate students, with tight connections with the academic world and research environments, particularly with the University of Ljubljana, the Jože Štefan research institute and the University of Maribor. It received the “Award of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia for exemplary business and entrepreneurial achievements” in 2012.

The research foundation TISIP was founded in 1985. TISIP is a small R&D foundation located in Trondheim, Norway. TISIP act as a project organization with four permanent employees. TISIP collaborates closely with Sør-Trøndelag University College and have about 10 full-time equivalent staff each year.
TISIPs main activities are:
